Hi, I’m Brigitte! I am a Resident in Counseling. If you’re struggling with food, body image, or emotional eating, I’m here to offer support and practical tools for recovery. I would love to meet with you virtually or in-person at our offices in Arlington, VA.
As a counselor, I believe in meeting you where you are, honoring your unique experiences, and empowering you to make sustainable changes in a way that feels authentic to you.
My therapeutic approach blends Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), each of which has been shown to be effective in addressing the underlying emotional and psychological factors being eating disorders. I also incorporate a solution-focused approach to help you identify actionable steps toward recovery, focusing on your strengths and creating intermittent goals for your journey. Furthermore, all of our treatment at Rock Recovery is inclusive and trauma-informed.
My goal is to help you move away from self-criticism and toward a more compassionate and value-driven life. Together, we’ll work to improve your relationship with food and body image so you can create space to enjoy the moments in life that matter most to you!
