Binge Eating Disorder (BED) is the most commonly diagnosed eating disorder today, affecting 3x the number of people diagnosed with anorexia and bulimia combined. Despite these alarming statistics, the symptoms and long-term effects of BED are all too often misunderstood.
In the first session of this two-part series, eating disorder experts Heather Clark (Rock Recovery) and Hannah Gruenewald (Eating Recovery Center) will dive into the history of BED and its current impact on people of all ages, sizes, genders and backgrounds. Attendees will walk away with a deeper understanding of how to effectively assess for and diagnose BED, as well as how to navigate barriers to care and level of care determinations with these clients.
