Understanding Binge Eating Disorder: Treating Your Patient With Care (Part Two)

Binge Eating Disorder (BED) is the most commonly diagnosed eating disorder today, affecting 3x the number of people diagnosed with anorexia and bulimia combined. Despite these alarming statistics, the symptoms and long-term effects of BED are too often misunderstood.

In the second session of this two-part series, eating disorder experts Heather Clark (Rock Recovery) and Hannah Gruenewald (Eating Recovery Center) will discuss best treatment practices for BED from dietary and therapeutic perspectives. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of an individual’s lived experience and ways they can be best supported at each level of care.  Click here to register today!

Learning Objectives

Following this presentation, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the complexities of Binge Eating Disorder beyond diagnostic criteria and research.

  • Identify attributes of binge and disinhibited eating.

  • Create effective interventions for binge eating treatment.
