Carylynn Kemp Larson, Ph.D.
Founder & President
Carylynn Kemp Larson is a graduate of Centre College (Danville, KY) and earned a Doctorate in Industrial-Organizational Psychologist from George Mason University. She has an extensive background in designing and implementing individual and organizational development programs. As she volunteers her time with Rock Recovery, she works as an internal consultant for the National Science Foundation and serves as adjunct faculty at George Washington University. Cary is an active member of the International Leadership Association, the Society for Industrial/ Organizational Psychology, and the American Psychological Association. Cary & her husband Ben live in Arlington, VA, where they are active members of National Community Church. Cary & Ben love to explore the beautiful DC memorials by bike or by foot with their precious Beagle, Maple.
Christie Dondero – Director of Development & Community Programs
Christie came on as Rock Recovery’s first paid staff member in April 2013. Prior to assuming the Director of Development and Community Programs position, she volunteered with the organization for almost three years and served as Board President for a two-year term. Christie worked for Habitat for Humanity’s seventh largest U.S. affiliate in North Carolina and as a consultant with PwC in Washington, D.C. prior to coming on staff. Having gone through recovery herself, Christie understands the depth of emotional, physical and spiritual support needed to recover and is passionate about spreading the message that freedom from disordered eating is possible. Christie recently fell in love with spin classes and in her spare time she enjoys traveling, ballet, activities with her church and visiting her family in Florida.
