Rock Recovery’s Third Annual Building Bridges Signature Event at The University Club
Building Bridges was created in response to a growing need in our community for conversation, awareness and education around mental health. This year, Dr. Curt Thompson will serve as the keynote speaker for the event as he unpacks the soul of shame, revealing its ubiquitous nature and neurobiological roots and how it can impact the development of mental illness such as eating disorders. He will also provide the tools necessary to dismantle shame, based on years of researching its damaging effects and counseling people to overcome those wounds.
- When: Thursday, May 12th, 6:00-8:30 PM
- Where: The University Club, 1135 16th St NW, Washington, District of Columbia 20005
- Cost: $75 Young Professional, $90 general admission.
